Things were going so well and then suddenly they weren’t in TurkeyLand,
Every morning the turkeys come marching through the woods and cross our property headed North. Most of the time it’s a peaceful, many times entertaining event.
This morning for some reason things were tense and hopefully one of you turkey experts out there can tell me what was going on.
The second half of this video makes me think of when giraffes fight with each other, wrapping their necks around each other. If you can help me solve the mystery, please do.
The clarity of this video is terrible, my apologies. I haven’t replaced my tripod yet and holding a heavy camera and long lens is definitely not ideal.
I think we should all take five minutes out of our day and behave like the deer on the right.
We should leap into a moment,
kick up our heels, and enjoy…being, just being.
Here’s hoping you take your five minutes…I stretch it out to 30 minutes, but, that’s just me.
I looked out back yesterday and I saw these two characters sitting in the sun so I went down to investigate.
I asked them why they were wearing camouflage outfits and they told me they had heard it was hunting season.
I explained that, at this time, it’s illegal to hunt cows and monkeys.
They didn’t believe me and told me that I was going to attract hunters, big game hunters and asked me to leave.
I’m extremely offended right now and am going on a diet.
Earlier this spring, I visited the rookery to see who the new arrivals were. I couldn’t resist these two. If you can’t see baby well enough, I’ve cropped in on the little one.

IS IT CUTE OR WHAT??
I have probably posted this before, but I had mentioned to a fellow blogger that I would post another image that I took in the National Bison Range in Montana.
I kept a VERY safe distance from these beautiful elk, this is not the kind of animal you want to get close to.This was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever experienced.
