Lots of time for birds.

I’ve had time to enjoy the birds now that I have a window into the woods again, I’ve also not been out and about doing much of anything. Here’s some advice.

Take your Vit. C, rest, eat well, go to bed early, avoid human contact of any sort. I would advise that you stay away from your pets too, even fish. I came down with laryngitis and haven’t had a voice for nine days. I know how I picked up my germs and I have my husband locked in a closet right now. With the holidays coming, everyone should be in anti-virus mode, make sure you have plenty of closets to lock family members in if they begin to sniffle.

Back to the birds. They seem to be in fine shape. Flitting back and forth in front of my window, fighting over the peanuts I put out for them…not one of them appears to have a cold. The point of all this rambling around is that you’re going to see a lot of bird images on here for a while. I know, why couldn’t I have just said that in the first place?

Did you hear that?

WM Did you hear that?

These two blue jays seemed to be distracted by something…something in the backyard.

I kept a sharp eye out but saw nothing. I’m wondering if an elephant had just made a short appearance, or perhaps a gorilla. Those are the kinds of things that would make me pause and not move a muscle.

It was a dark and stormy night.

lightning strike (39 of 1)

We had quite the lightning show last night, I’m sure many of you experienced the same weather system. The lightning lasted for a few hours which was quite the surprise, we haven’t seen a storm like that in quite a long time.

It was a very good thing that the storm lasted that long because it took me FOREVER to figure out how to set my camera. I haven’t used it in a long time.
