Snowflake Junco.

This Junco didn’t seem to mind having a snowflake resting under it’s eye. I love these little birds and I only get to see them in the fall and winter.

Guess what these little birds are nicknamed? Snowbirds!
Huge numbers of these birds migrate south to the United States in the winter from Canada and Alaska.
A lot of you know that the folks that flock to Florida in the winter are also called snowbirds!

Lots of time for birds.

I’ve had time to enjoy the birds now that I have a window into the woods again, I’ve also not been out and about doing much of anything. Here’s some advice.

Take your Vit. C, rest, eat well, go to bed early, avoid human contact of any sort. I would advise that you stay away from your pets too, even fish. I came down with laryngitis and haven’t had a voice for nine days. I know how I picked up my germs and I have my husband locked in a closet right now. With the holidays coming, everyone should be in anti-virus mode, make sure you have plenty of closets to lock family members in if they begin to sniffle.

Back to the birds. They seem to be in fine shape. Flitting back and forth in front of my window, fighting over the peanuts I put out for them…not one of them appears to have a cold. The point of all this rambling around is that you’re going to see a lot of bird images on here for a while. I know, why couldn’t I have just said that in the first place?
