Recently the bird seed has been disappearing at a faster rate than usual.
This little gal is one of the culprits and I could take her to the animal claims court, but look at her, she’s too cute to prosecute.

Isn’t this male bluebird pretty?
The beautiful wings are like a cape and everything says, “elegant.”
Then we have the mourning dove, clumsy on the branch ,built like a tank, it’s wings are beautiful in flight. When I see it next to a bluebird, I wonder how it even gets off the ground, but the answer stares me right in the face. Look at those massive wings!
More snow is on the way and I can’t wait to get back behind the lens of the camera.
This is one of my regulars…partial to peanuts, it gladly accepts other birdseed as well. I thought I might try something new on the menu. You might help me with suggestions…Oreo cookies are probably not the best thing to offer them.
Would pudding be a good choice?
How about celery?
Perhaps cooked oatmeal with a drizzle of honey on top?
Grilled cheese sandwiches come to mind, but some of the birds might be lactose intolerant.
I will be awaiting your suggestions with eager anticipation.
I put some sunflower seeds out on the deck for the little raccoon that dragged itself up from the woods about four days ago to find food. It’s been living under the deck since then…but we usually have one of them take up residence there until it’s babies are born and ready to go out with mama. Tonight this one entertained the dog and the cat for at least an hour…they’re so brave when there’s a thick pane of glass between them and “The Claws”.
The little path it’s following is the one I’ve kept cleared so that I can get to the bird feeding spot…The path is gone this morning.
