Well my friends…here we are, uncharted territory.

The Coronavirus is moving fast and we just had our first case reported for our state. I’ve been getting supplies in for the last week or so and in that respect I feel a little prepared.

Our daughter has been advised to work from home by her employer…a multi-national corporation that specializes in risk assessment. My husband who never worries about anything decided to work from home and we are as of today, reducing exposure to other people to a bare minimum.

I pray that all of you out there will be safe and stay well, along with your family and friends.

I think I’ll spend more time writing ridiculous stories on here to keep you all distracted and hopefully entertained, squirrels and such will still make  appearances.

Remember now, wash your hands while you sing Happy Birthday to you all the way through, maybe even do that twice. Wash between your fingers, under your fingernails and even include your wrists.

  1. I’d like to know what ever happened to the practice of washing our hands in the first place. It’s really sad that people have to be told to do it. The ones that really annoy me are the ones who, while I am diligently scrubbing mine in the communal bathroom decide that a “bird bath” (sorry) is good enough–flicking their fingers briefly under the faucet and flying off to the paper towel dispenser. Are they doing the minimum only because Mom and all their grade school teachers said they should but they really didn’t believe it?

    1. I don’t know when things changed. My daughter’s friend never reminds her two kids, they’re 6 and 8..to wash up, so they never did. My daughter finally called them out on it, in a nice way and they ran back to the bathroom to wash up. Their mom is pretty lazy about the child rearing stuff I guess.

  4. Corona is here, too. We have now about 30 cases, it is increasing every day. We have food for about a week, as normal. We are trying to avoid places with lots of people, it is easy here were we live. I am worried of this Corona, it is spreading too fast.

    1. I’m glad you are easily able to avoid crowded places. I’ve gone to the grocery at 9:30 pm!
      I’m worried about it too….especially because a lot of people don’t believe it’s a problem! I’m afraid it’s going to be a shock to a lot of people here, very soon.
