Wonderful photo of sandhills in flight. There areseveral large flocks foraging in the fields around our farm. Stoking up for their long flight south. They are beautiful to watch.

So THAT’S where they were. I had hoped to see the migration again in Montana and it didn’t happen while we were there. I was so disappointed as I love seeing these birds. Lucky you!!! Thanks for sharing that beautiful photo!

You’re so welcome! We even have them in the midwest now…I was shocked to hear them honking away, HIGH in the sky one day and I was totally thrilled!
