NIGHTFALL


HERE IS A VERY POORLY DONE, TWO SECOND VIDEO,(IF THAT) OF THE ROOKERY AT NIGHT WHEN THE BIRDS COME BACK TO ROOST FOR THE NIGHT. I’VE ADDED A STILL IMAGE TO SHOW THE CROWDED CONDITIONS.

IN THE MORNING THERE’S PLENTY OF SPACE…AND THEN THE SUN BEGINS TO GO DOWN AND YOU GET THE FOLLOWING…

JUST A LITTLE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION…THE GREAT EGRET IS APPROX. THREE FEET TALL WHEN FULL GROWN WITH A WINGSPAN OF OVER FIVE FEET. FANTASTIC!

  1. We used to see a lot of egrets around here, but not so many lately. I think the drought we’ve had for the past 5 years that has left the rivers nearly empty has forced them to move to places with better fishing. I miss them.
