NO CAN DO…YES CAN DO…

WM 2450 Pink sunset palm

I’VE RETURNED TO THE LAND OF SNOW AFTER HAVING SPENT A MONTH IN FLORIDA AND I’M STRUGGLING TO ADJUST TO THE FIFTY DEGREE DIFFERENCE IN TEMPERATURE.

I CAN NO LONGER GO OUTSIDE WEARING “SHORTS”….

I CAN NO LONGER ENJOY THE BREEZE WITH MY WINDOWS OPEN…

I CAN MAKE THE EXCUSE THAT IT’S TOO COLD TO GO OUTSIDE TO EXERCISE…

I CAN BUNDLE UP IN BLANKETS AND TAKE A NAP BECAUSE IF THE BEARS CAN HIBERNATE WHEN IT’S THIS COLD, I CAN TOO.

  1. I can relate to what you are saying. I’m in Arizona right now, enjoying the warm weather. We head back to Canada next week to have Christmas at home, and I’m not looking forward to cold and snow!

    1. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! I HAD to be there for a month…We went over a year without a sink in our “master” bathroom..(it’s tiny) and a couple of months ago my husband tore out the shower…anticipating that we’d find someone to do some renovation with no problem. Now what he forgot is that this is Florida we’re talking about. Things don’t happen in a hurry and all of the contractors etc. are busy out of their minds right now. When hubby took the shower out, I announced that I wasn’t going back until the bathroom was DONE!
We stumbled on someone who could do the whole job..and I said I would sacrifice myself and go down to Florida and stay there until the job was finished. A month to do a tiny bathroom, unbelievable. It wasn’t as fun as you might think…it was blistering hot, I got the flu and later “pink eye”, and I couldn’t leave our little place after 8 a.m most days and I’d hang around until 5 p.m. because you never knew if someone would just show up without calling…which they did most every time. I couldn’t even sit on the “lanai” because I wouldn’t be able to hear them knock on the front door. The good news is…I used my confinement to finish tweaking my book…so now I’m on to the next step toward publishing…
Now to the important part..I couldn’t take you with me could I? You would have been out enjoying the sun, the surf and the sand and I would be stuck inside…our friendship would have been RUINED!!

      1. Ok, that’s a good point . What a good friend you are to think about our friendship before anything else :). I’m very excited for you writing a book. Am I allowed to ask what it’s about yet? I am a bit of a book freak you know.

        1. hehehehe! I AM a good friend!
The book is a murder mystery…think Janet Evanovich genre…Our heroine is a photographer (big surprise) living in Florida…murders abound and our girl has her hands full with her eccentric friends and human and animal. Very vague, I know…hopefully I can divulge more soon 🙂 I’m a novice at producing a novel, I need to learn the ropes!

            1. Sorry I couldn’t respond sooner…big time internet issues. Thanks for the offer to proofread the book! I have someone lined up to go over it…but thanks again…!!

    1. lololol! I now have shorter hair because we had to travel to Florida a lot this summer…I couldn’t take the sopping wet hair from the humidity any longer! I will take your advice and try to reverse the process!

        1. OHHHHHHHHH! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! I’M HAPPY FOR ALL OF YOU!!
MY VERY BEST WISHES AND BLESSINGS TO THE NEW LITTLE ONE AND MY BIGGEST CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU..A GRANDMOTHER…HOW LOVELY AND WONDERFUL!!! xoxoxoxo
