THROUGH A DIRTY PLANE WINDOW…

Clouds 2836 (1 of 1)

WELLI HAVE BEEN DEFEATED BY THE SQUIRRELSAND THE RACCOONS. I’VE HAD TO TAKE THE BIRD FEEDERS DOWN AND RETIRE THEM. THEY WERE DESTROYED BY THE LITTLE VARMINTS ANYWAY, SO THERE WASN’T MUCH LEFT TO RETIRE.

UNTIL I FIND A NEW SUBJECT THAT IS RIDICULOUS OR BEAUTIFUL OR INSPIRING, I’LL BE SPORADICALLY POSTING.  JUST TO BE SAFE, YOU SHOULD ALL BE KEEPING AN EYE OUT FOR THE NINJA SQUIRRELS. THEY’RE GOING TO START TO RELOCATE, I’M SURE, AFTER WE’VE REPLACED AND SEALED UP ALL OF THE ACCESS POINTS THEY’VE CREATED AND RIPPED INTO OUR ROOF. THESE ARE TROUBLING TIMES IN THE VILLAGE.

    1. It’s been a little discouraging…yesterday we found out that some little varmint had chewed the wiring in my husbands car. We’re not sure if it’s bird feeder related or not…little stinkers!

  1. I just let the birds and the squirrels figure out who gets what. I buy the cheapest black-oil sunflower seed I can find and let them duke it out. Haven’t lost a feeder yet, although some day I probably will since the squirrels seem to love to hang (read : bounce) on the feeders while they fish out the seeds.

    1. HA! Bouncing on them! You all are very encouraging with your advice and I really appreciate it. I still have to figure out how to outsmart the baby raccoons, my brain is getting a real workout on this one.

    1. Hmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! That might help quite a bit, since I don’t think they could slide down that. They could still jump to it, but maybe I could devise a way to make that harder…hmmmmm..THANKS!!!!!!

  2. I will miss your wildlife. I’m really surprised the feeders lasted as long as they did. We don’t have any now. They were very quickly defeated by just about everything.

    1. Oh dear! I think that I stayed with the feeders too long…I was getting very frustrated and at that point the enjoyment is gone. I’m hoping to replace the windows in my studio with much larger ones in a month or two, and hopefully I will see some wildlife passing through.

  3. I have full confidence that in short time you’ll find an abundance of subjects which are “RIDICULOUS OR BEAUTIFUL OR INSPIRING”.

It’s what you do. We’ll wait.

    1. Things are good. It’s just time for a change for a while. You’ve been a great blogger friend. Thank you for coming by so often!
