A WEATHER COMMENT…

IT’S NOW AFTER FOUR AM AND THE THREAT FOR TORNADOES HAS PASSED AND THE WIND IS FINALLY DYING DOWN. TIME TO HEAD FOR BED, BUT…I’M HOPING THAT NONE OF YOU OUT THERE HAVE BEEN IN THE PATH OF THE TORNADOES THAT DID SO MUCH DAMAGE AND DESTRUCTION…STAY SAFE MY FRIENDS…IT MAY BE BAD FOR ALL OF YOU SOUTH AND EAST TODAY.

  1. The invasion has begun! We have a lot of turkeys around here. They have a very BAD attitude. They stand in the middle of the road and DARE you to drive. One of them attacked my car (really), inspiring the old farmer in the red truck to comment “They don’t understand it only takes ONE wheel …” But he’s the one who feeds them, so he’s a fine one to talk.

We do not call dumb people turkeys for no reason. They think they are the biggest, toughest, meanest birds in the … what … suburbs? Farming area? Anyway, they are our state bird and protected. Wild turkey attacks are common. They WILL chase you down. Not smart, but tough.

    1. Holy cow!! I had no idea! I did see a video of a turnkey chasing a FedEx or UPS driver around and around his truck.
You survived a turkey attack on your car! You are one of the lucky ones who lived to tell the tale!
Wild turkey attacks..again..I had NO idea!!!!!!!

    1. lol…you may be right about that! I’ve just learned that they have a bad attitude from Marilyn Armstrong…one attacked her car!

      1. Yes, very smart but very grumpy. Probably one reason they weren’t selected as our national symbol. Just as well. Eagles are so much better looking.

        1. Oh I think the eagle is MUCH more deserving…At least they can fly long distances and zoom around inside stadiums while the national anthem is playing. It wouldn’t be the same watching a turkey run around on the field.

  2. What a delightful way to celebrate no tornadoes visiting you – I can’t begin to imagine what you must have been going through! 🙂

    1. We were luckier than so many…With all of the trees around us, I’m very grateful that we have a basement. The scary part is that one can develop and be on top of you in a heartbeat.

    1. It was a real treat to have them visit!
I feel like we were really lucky…lots and lots of severe weather all around us, but we were spared. I feel so badly for those who have lost everything…such a terrifying thing to have to experience, I just can’t imagine.
