A WINDOW INTO THE WOODS 
This has been an issue for me as well over the past couple of days. I think WP is having some kind of Lack of Spring Breakdown.

Same thing happened to me several times so I copied and deleted the comment, then went to the blog to paste it in, but it was already there, so it’s the commenting on the sidebar that isn’t working reliably.

I have been experiencing the same problem. The little circle keeps twirling, but nothing happens. I sent one blogger the same response several times because I hit send repeatedly !

You type in an answer to a reader’s comment, hit “send” and it takes forever to process. Sometimes I lose patience and wander off elsewhere but I check later and both the reader’s comment and my answer make it in. I hope this gets fixed ASAP.

Finally things seem to be back to normal. I would go off and do something else too. Sometimes things had worked out, sometimes they hadn’t.

I had the same problem earlier today…..then everything suddenly went back to normal……so I guess it must have been a system glitch

It must have been, I’ve had other issues, hopefully those will straighten out as this one has now done. Glad yours worked itself out!
