IN MY PREVIOUS POSTS I SHARED THE STRANGE PHENOMENON OF FLOATING, FLYING PEANUTS.
WELL, NOW I’M GETTING MORE THAN A LITTLE CONCERNED. IT LOOKS TO ME LIKE THE HEADS ON THESE TWO BLUE JAYS HAVE FLOATED AWAY!!!! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THEY’RE STILL FLYING?? I’M GOING TO THE KITCHEN RIGHT NOW TO FIND SOME DUCT TAPE. I’M GOING TO TAPE MY HEAD ON.
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY, RIGHT?
Headless or not, it’s a stunning shot.

You are getting some great shots of the jays. What a bunch of clowns. We’ve got Scrub and Steller’s Jays out here, but it’s the same personality.

I’m pretty sure they are not the only pilots who have ever lost their heads. It may be a hazard of the job.

I don’t know that I’d sign up for that kind of risky job!
It could really affect one’s social life!

They’re hoping for enough buzz to get them noticed for a spot on that tv show “Sleepy Hollow”? (Did you find blue duct tape? Color coordinating is good when finely feathered…orange would do?)

I think I do need to stick with the blue…coordinating is a priority you know…
