“HOW NOW
BROWN COW….”
I think I need to google this expression…I have no idea what it means.
I’ve decided that cows are inscrutable…I’m never going to figure out what goes on in their minds.
OH! Now I know what it means!! A fellow blogger helped me out…it was used for elocution lessons…you know… how to speak well.
It also was and is used as an expression which would translate into “what’s new…what’s going on…what’s up?….
The MOST modern version would be…”S’UP?” Elocution..0 Slang..1
Cows are very interesting animals. They know there house and the person they are a part of it

they’re inscrutable because they’re great thinkers … I mean, ruminants … which are pretty much the same things 😀

Elocution is a lost art. As for the cow, “What’s up, Buttercup?” works for me. 😉

“G – day” In Aussie language, (meaning Good day) “Huh” In Afrikaans (meaning “What?”)… It all depends in what language the cow speaks….. but I think most the time with a cow it means “Got any food?”

Originally, elocution teachers used it for an exercise in pronouncing vowels. Sometimes, people use it as a greeting, meaning, essentially, “How’s it going? What’s up?” I used it in speech classes.
