Once upon a time there was a chipmunk who spent about a week waiting for access to the special seating area at his favorite restaurant.  He only wanted to sit near the flower garden, and there was a very long waiting list for those seats. Today he got to dine outdoors and eat as much as he wanted. See… this “once upon a time” has a happy ending.

    1. Thanks! This little guy has been really entertaining the last few days….the one we had last year was a peach…when John took his car in for some repair work, he got a phone call from the service department. They wanted him to come over to look at something on the car.
      They’d opened the hood and found a mound of peanuts stockpiled there. They had even taken pictures of the “treasure trove”.
      When he got home, I got “the look”…

    1. I couldn’t stop watching her/him scampering around and finally learning how to get to the food. Every morning the little one is sitting by the house, ready to greet the new day. 🙂

    1. Those cheeks are definitely built for storage! Do your dogs try to catch them? I’m betting the chipmunks are faster…although their legs are about the same length, aren’t they? lol.
