Once upon a time there was a chipmunk who spent about a week waiting for access to the special seating area at his favorite restaurant. He only wanted to sit near the flower garden, and there was a very long waiting list for those seats. Today he got to dine outdoors and eat as much as he wanted. See… this “once upon a time” has a happy ending.
Caught in the act of stuffin their face!

Thanks! This little guy has been really entertaining the last few days….the one we had last year was a peach…when John took his car in for some repair work, he got a phone call from the service department. They wanted him to come over to look at something on the car.
They’d opened the hood and found a mound of peanuts stockpiled there. They had even taken pictures of the “treasure trove”.
When he got home, I got “the look”…

I couldn’t stop watching her/him scampering around and finally learning how to get to the food. Every morning the little one is sitting by the house, ready to greet the new day. 🙂

It makes me so happy to hear that 🙂 I’m always surprised when someone tells me that, and it encourages me to keep on going. I had a blogger sort of insult me the other day and it made me embarrassed to post the pictures of the animals…so hearing you say this helps a lot.xoxo

Those cheeks are definitely built for storage! Do your dogs try to catch them? I’m betting the chipmunks are faster…although their legs are about the same length, aren’t they? lol.
