WHY IS THIS DEER RUNNING???
BECAUSE HE SAW A DISTURBANCE IN THE SNOW THAT STRIKES FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF ALL WHO BEHOLD IT….
I HAD NO IDEA THAT THE NINJA SQUIRRELS WERE ACTIVE IN THE WINTER TIME! I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE WITH ALL OF MY DEFENSES DOWN. AFTER I SAW THE DEER RUNNING AND REALIZED WHY, I GOT OUT MY COMBAT BINOCULARS AND BEGAN TO SCAN THE PERIMETER…WHAT I SAW SENT SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE!!!
THE ENEMY HAD BEEN USING IT’S UNDERGROUND TUNNELS AND I HADN’T EVEN BEEN AWARE THAT THEY EXISTED!!!
AT TIMES I WOULD SEE NOTHING AND THEN SUDDENLY….THE SNOW WOULD START TO RISE UP AND A NINJA WOULD BURST FROM THE SNOW…
BEHOLD THE BREACHING NINJA SQUIRREL…..THEIR BEHAVIOR IS SOMETHING AKIN TO THE BREACHING OF A WHALE AS IT REACHES THE SURFACE…THE IMPRESSIVE SITE CAN HYPNOTIZE A PERSON, SO YOU MUST LOOK AWAY QUICKLY AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE IF YOU SEE ANY SIGN AT ALL OF AN IMPENDING BREACH.
DO NOT LOOK BACK AS YOU RUN…BUT IF YOU DO…AND YOU SEE A NINJA SQUIRREL PRAYING, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE IS A SAINTLY NINJA SQUIRREL…HE IS JUST PRAYING FOR STRENGTH IN THE COMING BATTLE.

I AM OFF TO GATHER MY TROOPS…MAX THE DOG AND OLIVER THE CAT WILL HAVE TO BE SNAPPED INTO THEIR BATTLE ARMOR…I MYSELF WILL BE ONCE AGAIN CRAWLING UNDER THE BED WITH A HEALTHY SUPPLY OF OLIVES, CAPERS, CHOCOLATE, PUDDING, CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP, BACON, BANANAS, GRAPES, CHOCOLATE, RAISONS…BUT NOT TOO MANY RAISONS….AND CLUB SODA.
A WINDOW INTO THE WOODS

You’re right about the hardiness too….it’s SOOOO cold and food must be scarce..I swept out a squirrel “highway” for them tonight, so that they can get from the trees to the birdseed and corn.
