I didn’t have time to count all the legs in this image…I guess I could now…I don’t know what the attraction was for these birds…just hanging out? Talking about the baseball game last night?

A WINDOW INTO THE WOODS 
In the winter time we buy cheap loaves in the supermarket and take them to Strathclyde Park in Motherwell to feed the birds. There is a large man-made loch there.
As soon as the birds see us they come tearing over and we are surrounded by ducks, gulls and swans. The swans muscle in and chase the smaller birds away so we have to walk to different areas to allow many birds to get some food.

It’s so nice of you to do this….I’m sure the birds are grateful….and those swans sound very intimidating!

They are. When they get too close we quickly drop some bread and run further away. Their hissing is quite scary.
