When flying as a pilot, one must always respect the landing and take-off style of others. Let’s face it, some pilots are just better than others. Sometimes you experience that wonderful, gentle landing…other times your glasses fall off and your dentures fall out from the impact of the landing. Some pilots make graceful turns, others have you laying on your side and getting to know the person in the next seat much more personally than you’d like to.

Great shots of course and … comments – brilliant. *smile – you have so colorful birds over there, just like Bob has in SA – the most colorful bird we have .. is the male standard duck *laughing

The leaning pilot must have got notice from Juan Valdez that they forgot his Colombian coffee.

Sure, the flight bounces around a bit, but they always have plenty of peanuts!

It’s a regular peanut “fest” on some of those flights! And the attendants are all nuts!

I recently talked to a photographer.. (semi pro) who says out of 200 photos he might take in a day he could only end up keeping 5 or 6.. seeing as he was a pro, I wondered if your stats were the same…

It’s really hard for me to say. Some days, say when I’m at the rookery in Florida, I might end up with 10 that I’d keep…images are plentiful and once I get into a rhythm things seem to fall into place. With the horses, maybe 3 or 4 in an afternoon. With the Blue Jays it varies quite a lot…everyday is so different. I keep way more than I should, so I give it a few days, go back and look at them and start eliminating a LOT of the ones that I thought were good the first day.

It’s like watching a ballet. Great shots! Those big peanuts must mess with their balance on take off.

I always wonder about that….and after they sit and eat three peanuts in a row, I wonder if it affects them..
