THE SNOW BIRDS…

Lots of snow yesterday and these poor guys had to wait until it all died down before they could come to eat…Brace yourselves, there will be more images coming…I should turn this into a weather type report..but call it a zannyro report….

At 9:29 a.m. a light dusting of zannyro was moving to the east…this zannyro event may include large amounts of posting, silliness up to your eyeballs and strange and hazardous reading conditions….people in the path of this event should take shelter far from their computers, preferably with a large supply of chocolate on hand…we expect this onslaught to last longer than you want it to….stay tuned for further updates….

IT’S NOT FAIR, WE ALREADY DID CARDINALS…

Because the weather can’t make up it’s mind what to do…I will be contrary and post another image of a cardinal in the rain….no rhyme or reason to anything that I’m going to post lately, but has there ever been?

ROCKET RED…

I love this little visitor that came today….so glad that I could get a good

shot of his beautiful eye……they are so shy that it’s hard to capture an

image sometimes.

I called this Rocket Red, because they remind me of a rocket zooming

erratically through the air…..and red of course for their gorgeous,

glorious red color.

Red Rocket, Red Rocket

You’re here then you’re there

Streaking red, flashing brilliance

You dance through the air…

Do you know when we watch you

That you’re a spectacular part

Of this great world of beauty

That gives wings to our heart?

RED………….SORRY NO SQUIRREL SIGHTINGS TODAY….SO….JUST RED

Blarg……………no squirrel sightings today…although I have been hearing rumors that
the next installment of the squirrel-o-mentary should be ready within a week!!

We’ve been so bored that we’ve been discussing favorite colors…mine is red……….so……
here’s some red……………sorry I think my brain is fried after the last two days of
chocolate fueled blogging….can you believe that I’ve actually had people suggesting
that I might need to be hospitalized for observation ?!?? I admit I have my
fascinating moments, such as trying to explain how I managed to tape my hands together
while using mailing tape…but hospitalization?, you go to far!!

So…on with the red…my feeling are hurt and I must go lick my wounds.

FROM THE RIDICULOUS TO THE SUBLIME

Alright first off, here is my bald-headed little buddy……looks like a hunting
accident to me. Or as I said before, male pattern baldness. So for those of you
who have to slow down to stare at traffic accidents..take one quick look and then
look away!

And for those of you who just loved “The Flight Crew”, here they are with
a few of their friends.Yes, these images were all taken within a few days
of each other. Welcome to our wacky weather!

So after a day of burying you all under a mountain of posts….I’m going to
shut up for awhile and give you a break.

Can anyone knit a teeny tiny hat?

This is an all you can eat buffet, right?

Gotcha!

He forgot to wear red!

Red

Look, he's leaving. No one will notice if we do too!

The flight crew

Today has been insane.
We had some snow and I decided to toss some corn, peanuts and seeds
on the deck for the birds…Well, it got interesting!

Blue Jays LOVE peanuts, so the war was on. I couldn’t stop shooting images
as you’ll see here. The squirrels tried to get in on the act..they’re great at grabbing
a peanut, running out into the snow and furiously burying it in the snow. It will
be interesting to see how that turns out. Two of them got a little feisty, territory was
invaded and then it was off to the races!

So needless to say I went a little crazy and here in no particular order is the result
of my “watching”.
