I SEE YOU…YOU SEE ME..

I got a happy surprise this morning….I happened to glance into the woods and there were two deer getting ready to cross our little river, headed west……..around an hour and a half later, I looked out again and there were FIVE crossing back this way over the river…I’m really anxious for my new camera ring to arrive…that’s what snapped when my camera and tripod fell over and hit the wall….Holding an 80-400 mm lens mounted on the camera doesn’t make the chance of a sharp photo very likely…but I’m happy enough with these :)

    • Thanks! A little frustrating to not be able to get up close…but soon :) :):)…yes! Somehow I don’t think these deer are going to let me get really close….not without planting a hoof in my forehead…

  3. Hey great captures… wish the tripod was fixed… all that movement back and forth, is that usual or is it a sign of impending Spring.??

    • Very usual…..They are always on the move…no matter what the weather….the tripod should be all better next week…..to my mind, the sign of impending spring is the return of the black crow….we have a flock that shows up in the last few weeks of winter, stays through spring and then leaves…I don’t know if that’s usual…need to look it up..but that’s what they do here..

  4. Second pic looks like the deer is thinking “why isn’t she using a tripod?”.
Nice shots, even with the un-ideal situation.

    • Well, this was before chocolate!! LOL!….It takes a LOT of concentration and really buckling down to stand still enough to get the shot…and I’m usually full of chocolate so my hands are vibrating..

      • At least you recognize your shortcomings. With me it’s the chocolate that comes in too short a supply. Oh, I could go for some right now. See what you’ve done!?
