THE BIG CATS…
My earlier post mentioned a video of “Big Cats” that I had made……I spent a wonderful two days visiting this wonderful place and capturing images to my heart’s ALMOST content…..I hope that you enjoy my video.
My apologies, the video has for some reason been removed from the post at times…
http://youtu.be/6NZ9WcqpG7s Hopefully this will somehow magically appear in the future.

WOW! The music was great to accompany the shots. I especially liked the yawning lion with his tongue all curled up!

That is part of a series of three shots where the tongue just curls tighter and tighter…..:)…..Guess what??!! Today I got to FEED a tiger

Cool! You live an exciting life compared to me. I’m still trying to heal my aching butt!
February 7, 2013 at 9:02 pm
Ohhhhh,I’ll see your aching butt, ( well not literally) and raise you one left foot with tendonitis to end all tendonitis…this has been going on for YEARS and I am so disgusted with it…so hard to walk for very long…

I once had that very painful “issue” and a physical therapist used ultrasound on it. In about 3-4 treatments it went away and has never returned. You might want to try that.
And if you can’t get around that well, I’d suggest staying away from lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
February 7, 2013 at 10:12 pm
Lololololololol! When I get back up North, I’m going to give the Ortho guy one last chance to get it right….or I’ll feed him to the lions, tigers and bears, Oh my!! ( Just kidding…all you kiddos out there…no feeding people to lions or tigers or bears!!)

Reblogged this on The Photographic Journey of bulldog. and commented:
The brilliance of this women’s photography is beyond words… I am certainly at a loss… and her humour tops it all off…
February 6, 2013 at 4:05 pm
Well now I have nothing more to blog about… I can’t get photos like that… wonderful and as to the comment you think there are better wild life photographers out there, I don’t agree.. you are too good… come to Africa I’ll be your guide and take you where the animals are .. you do the photos… we share the millions you make from sales…
February 6, 2013 at 4:01 pm
While at the “home” of the Big Cats I entered a drawing…the grand prize…a trip to South Africa….will fate lend a hand?…..it would be a dream to come to Africa…and there would be no better guide……..You’ll have to be the marketing brains too…
February 6, 2013 at 4:05 pm
and that I will do with pleasure…
February 6, 2013 at 4:07 pm

February 6, 2013 at 3:23 pm
I’m speechless Suzanne, and that doesn’t happen too damn often. WOW!
February 6, 2013 at 3:07 pm
I’m just sitting here with a big smile on my face…….your words mean a lot to me Alex..Thank you…
February 6, 2013 at 3:12 pm
It’s my opinion Suzanne that good work should be applauded, and loudly, as it is so easy and trivial to focus on the bad. I also think that those who create good work should be proud of their accomplishments, as this tends to lead to more. You’ve just raised your own standards, which were already amazingly high. I’ve no doubt you’re up to the challenge.
The photography is, of course, excellent. As is the video editing. Very well done! (So much for my being speechless.)
February 6, 2013 at 3:42 pm
It’s funny, putting this together I felt like something was different in this work…..I like pushing myself and I’m glad there are people like you, Bulldog, Gina, Cindy, to name a few, who help push me too! You made my day…:)
February 6, 2013 at 4:02 pm
I have one question. Why the hell are you mot working as a professional nature photographer getting paid for absolutely awesome photos like this?!?! I am in awe!
February 6, 2013 at 3:01 pm
Awwwwww…I don’t have a good answer to your question….I never really have pursued it…wouldn’t know where to start….AND…figured there were WAY better photographers out there already doing what I’m doing.
February 6, 2013 at 3:10 pm
Well, I for one think you are just as good as them
.
February 6, 2013 at 3:50 pm
Not so sure there are….
February 6, 2013 at 3:58 pm
At last, it works!
Really wonderful, and what I find amazing is the gentle, dreamy quality of the eyes. Not the sort of glaring intensity one expects.
February 6, 2013 at 2:53 pm
They really are SO relaxed..those are just big yawns that you see when the Lions mouth is wide open….Glad I finally got it up and running…thanks for hanging in there
February 6, 2013 at 3:07 pm
Worth waiting for!
