NO MATTER WHERE I GO…
Well…..I got back from Montana,,,to weather more snowy and cold than it was there! On my second little adventure look what I found…The minute I hopped out of the truck and walked toward the horses…Mr. Friendly came right over for a good pat on the back and a little conversation….since he seemed determined to stay planted in front of me, I decided that I may as well use his back as a “picture frame”. Lately it seems that no matter where I go, I find a horse.

Love the light in the second and third one. And the fabulous composition in the third. Wonderful series.

Horses find horse-people…or is it the other way around?
January 25, 2013 at 6:52 pm
I don’t know…I think it’s a chicken or the egg kind of dilemma…

“No matter where I go.. or what I see… I;ll be missing thee..” is that not a line from some song.??? but it does tell me the horse attraction perfume you use is damn good….
They just love you, and your camera just loves them… and you are just too damn good for words…

Awwwwww…..I just love your comments
….Maybe I should start marketing a horse attraction perfume !?! This trip really reinforced the fact that I want to do a LOT more with horses……I don’t care if I never sell one more image…just love the “work”…which it totally is NOT work

It is so obvious that with horses you just have the gift… whilst in the Kalahari I visited the horse club about ten times, and traipsed around trying to compose photos… I came home probably with five to which I would say “not to bad”.. yet on some of my walks I just manage to get great photos of the birds… it makes me think we all have a certain affinity to some subjects…Now your horse photos and their composition is beyond belief how you do sometimes… just a natural eye for it and naturally the love of something is going to show up through the lens…
I tried a few portrait photos.. forget it, I hated it and it showed in the photos…
You obviously love animals and also the birds and it does show in your photos…
but you and horses are in a class of your own, and I do look at other horse photographers… nowhere near you…

This is one of the most wonderful compliments I’ve ever gotten…..Thank you…..
I do believe that what you say is true…we all do have a certain affinity for some subjects…
I think you’re selling yourself short…your photos are always amazing! I’m going to agree with you again….you are just superb with bird images….you capture so much of their “character” and it just shines through….you ARE the “bird man”! You are just the best Bulldog
January 26, 2013 at 3:12 pm
Thank you from the “bird man” to the “horse woman”… that doesn’t sound to complementary so let me rephrase it to “Beautiful horse woman”…
