TUTU GIRL…………….

Alright….you asked for it…….now your gonna be sorry, very, very sorry…….I couldn’t get this tutu on if you turned the clock back twenty years…so this is the best that I could do…….it’s appropriate that it’s on my head…because it’s true purpose is to serve as a source of inspiration…it represents fun and silly….two of my favorite things…….tada!

  1. Add a silver boa and you’re in business, my friend. But wait … not THAT kind of business. Such a charming photo! You wear F.U.N. very well.

    • Wow! I was WONDERING….!! I wanted to expand my business..but that would be taking a BIG left turn!! F.U.N. is my favorite accessory!!

  2. I was so glad to see this photo. I no longer feel like I’m the only crazy one out there. Years ago I was entertaining the young kids of a friend by putting a tutu on my head and dancing around the living room with them. The song they played for us to dance to was Watusi. Remember that? Waaaaaa – wa-ah- waTUsi! So I’ll probably be seeing you in the loonie bin, Suzanne!

    • I’ll save you a seat in the loonie bin….nice to know you’re not alone hmmmm?!

      October 25, 2012 at 2:33 am

      • For sure. Now that I’ve reminisced about that time, I realize that it was a lot of fun.

      October 24, 2012 at 5:31 pm

  6. There now! I KNEW you’d look great in your tutu! Tutu’s are a frilly, fun, frivolous, fantastic, fabulous, fantasy fashion! Who says they can’t be worn like this. Awfully sensible for freezing-the-ears-off-your-head weather too! Well done Suzanne!
BTW have you read Warning by Jenny Joseph?it was our theme for a rip roaring tour – the girls and I! Brilliant. You would have fitted right in!check out my post The Roar Tour

    • I LOVED your story of the Minxes!!! You all DO sound like my kind of people :) I totally agree with you that there will be no freezing-the-ears-off-your-head!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I should try to get my son to wear one….you know, the son who is a lumberjack….that should go over well with the other “sawyers”……..weird isn’t it…Mama’s the nature lover, taught sonny to love nature and the woods…and this is his chosen profession…..I’m thinking paying all of that college tuition money wasn’t the best idea we’ve ever had…lol…( you either laugh or you cry..and i’ll take laughing any day !!)…..BTW…love your friend’s name…Jax…very cool :)

      October 24, 2012 at 5:40 pm

      • Ah boys! All you can do is feed ‘em right, try to instill some semblance of manners and respect – by fair means or foul! Then push, shove, kick them mightily in the behinds to get them to actually leave and try to make it on their own. You showed him the woods so he went and hunted them down. It could be much worse! Just imagine!
We finally got our 22 year old out a few weeks ago. So far he’s “looking” for a job. Hmmm.
Jax is amazing! She also answers to Wiggle – she does that a lot!. Then there’s Wombat and one we just call “Weeee” as she squeals for any reason! I’m Charlene, of Africa or Wobby. Oh, I know its very silly, but isn’t all of life? It only makes sense when we look back at it, but we live it going forwards! :-)

        • I told a Doctor friend that I was worried about the bears that he might encounter…and he said yes, but, no matter where you are,,,there are different kinds of bears…..

  10. I wish I would have seen this post before I attempted to try on my leather mini-skirt from the 1980s. It would have looked so much better on my head. Thanks for the laugh!

    October 23, 2012 at 8:05 pm

    • Hi Vicky! Thanks for looking at a blog that tends to meander all over the place :) …your lesson learned…always try your skirts on your head first to see how they look….

      October 23, 2012 at 8:15 pm

  11. I opened this post and burst out laughing! How COOL are YOU!!!!!!???
You are being YOU and LOVING doing it! (so do we!!!)
    If anyone ever disagrees with you just quote this: one of my favourite quotes;

Mieux vaut faire, et se repentir,
Que se repentir, et rien faire.

    (translation:)
It’s better to do something, and regret it,
Than to regret, and do nothing.

    October 23, 2012 at 7:17 pm
