IGNORANCE IS BLISS….
They do say that ignorance is bliss…but in this case, I think it’s just dangerous…one must always pay attention to one’s surroundings…you don’t know what could be out there lurking..

While it might look like the (bluejay ?) is biding his time, I think he’s cleverly waiting his turn. He’s well aware that cute little chipmunk has very sharp nails and teeth.
September 16, 2012 at 1:11 am
He is definitely NOT a stupid bird..
September 16, 2012 at 1:23 am
Arent these suppose d to be ninja squirrels?
September 15, 2012 at 7:48 pm
I KNOW!! I expected some kind of spectacular ninja display…but nothing..
September 16, 2012 at 1:10 am
That is bad then, poor squirrels.
September 16, 2012 at 1:14 am
All ended peacefully and everyone went home full and happy
I need to keep watching for evidence of a ninja squirrel visit.
September 16, 2012 at 1:25 am
Glad to hear that.
September 16, 2012 at 1:30 am
We will see what tomorrow brings…it’s a wild and crazy bunch of wildlife “neighbors”
September 16, 2012 at 10:04 pm
Are you sure the bird isn’t the chipmunk’s enforcer?
September 14, 2012 at 9:18 pm
Ou may have something there…he does look like he’s just keeping an eye on things
September 14, 2012 at 10:36 pm
I know blue jays can be nasty to other birds. But are they aggressive to chippies who are snacking on their stash?
September 14, 2012 at 3:10 pm
Not really…they steer clear of them…the chipmunks are very “scrappy”
September 14, 2012 at 5:10 pm

September 14, 2012 at 1:22 pm
Lol – those cheeks are so cute!!!
September 14, 2012 at 5:40 am
You just want to reach right out and pet one…and then they’d sink their teeth right through your finger..LOL!
September 14, 2012 at 1:31 pm
So gorgeous!
September 14, 2012 at 4:27 am
Thank you! They were keeping me busy with the camera…
September 14, 2012 at 1:26 pm
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite eenohpras, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
December 11, 2012 at 11:46 pm
Ah, but chipmunks rule the feeder!
September 14, 2012 at 4:10 am
They most certainly do!
September 14, 2012 at 1:27 pm
Love these – is that a birdbath you have the feed in?
September 14, 2012 at 4:03 am
Very observant!….Yes, that is a birdbath….it’s what I’ve been using for a long time..they really like it
September 14, 2012 at 1:32 pm
I have been looking for somethign for Cardinals and Jays – they can’t handle the feeders, just too small. I’m stealing this idea! I just made woodpecker feeders out of old cedar trunks – so fun, they think they are working for their food:)
September 14, 2012 at 3:42 pm
You are going to have some very happy blue jays and cardinals..they really like this arrangement.
September 14, 2012 at 5:08 pm
Hilarious, love those cheeks!
September 14, 2012 at 3:47 am
They look just like their Mommie’s…(Me)
September 14, 2012 at 1:32 pm
These are just way too cute and he’s having more fun with those peanuts. I think the bird is jealous for sure.
September 14, 2012 at 3:42 am
I had a thought … almost typed it…better that I didn’t….
September 14, 2012 at 1:33 pm
LOL!
September 14, 2012 at 8:49 pm
It’s surprising how they tolerate each other (most of them).
September 14, 2012 at 3:29 am
It is amazing…but wait until I post the images of the two chipmunks trying to stake their claim to the food…not so tolerant!
