REMEMBERING THE INNOCENT…..

Today is September 11.     I know that many more countries than just the United States lost loved ones on this fateful day, so many years ago…and I want to pay tribute to all of those innocents who lost their lives…and to all of those who lost a part of their heart that day…whether it be the actual loss of a loved one, or the spiritual loss that was  felt and shared by many  on that day.

These images were taken shortly after that day…..

LOOK INTO THE EYES OF THE INNOCENT.

THE LOVE IS STILL THERE.

      • Such a shining example of Bad Timing! Isn’t Shockwave easy software or something that is part of some software? Heck, I don’t know … I just use computers.

It was a fun party, but whew … I had a workout meeting and greeting everyone …. and the entertainment was fabulous! Meanwhile, people are still stopping by, so hey – come on over… there’s plenty left. …. and thanks for the kind words. :)

  9. This is an indelible date for me. We lost our neighbor, who had 3 kids under 8. It was horrible living so near the event.

    • I can not even IMAGINE how horrible it must have been……..those poor children…………..I have no words.

  10. I love this post.. I popped home all those years ago to pick something up and looked on the TV and saw it all happening… It was an atrocity of such a high magnitude that it was hard to believe… to watch it all live .. to see that second plane hit… I was dumb struck…
Coming from a land and being involved in fighting against terrorists this was still a shock.. the slaying of innocent people is disastrous, the shock wave reverberated throughout the world… and the repercussions will be felt for generations… those kids that lost mothers or fathers… wives or husbands that lost partners.. families that lost brave people that went in to help the trapped… Oh how can one forget such horror…
I visited America not long after the disaster and it was an experience to visit the site… to see all the messages and photos on the boards surrounding the area was heart breaking… a day the world will never forget…

    • I too remember watching it unfold, live on television….and then they reported that a plane had hit the Pentagon…..all I could think was, dear God..make it stop, make it stop. The stories of heroism afterward..the images…we had American flags on our cars..or red, white and blue ribbons….for many months afterward. It was interesting to learn that, in some cases, New Yorkers were surprised to learn about the support that was being displayed all over the country. I’m sure in many ways, they felt very alone. Just a heartbreak.
