I think they love you as much as you love them …. kind of a mutual admiration club.

These photos are indeed beautifully shot…. Your reflexes must be very fast to be able to frame them and focus them so well to create such good photos. They almost appear to be live outside a window we’re peering through.

OOh! I’m glad that it feels that way…I’ve learned to get faster and how to read their movements somewhat, so that helps me to be “ready”

What a sweetie that little one is!

How lovely to see the two of them together again.

I noticed that these deer are in much better physical condition than our “town deer.” There’s probably a lot more nutrition in natural browse than in petunias and geraniums. You’re lucky they come for a visit (as long as you don’t have an unfenced flower garden).
August 8, 2012 at 3:25 pm
The only flowers that I can keep, that they won’t eat, are
“double-knockout” roses, and ornamental gasses…OH! And butterfly bush….the sister to Dash, “Dapple” has looked VERY bad this year…skin and bones, but she’s coming back and looking a bit “meatier”..SO GLAD!!
August 8, 2012 at 4:33 pm
They ate my butterfly bush, but that could be because they’re more desperate here. I hate to see animals suffering. We fed the deer cracked corn for a few years but when we had 23 deer in the yard, my husband came to his senses and said this was no good. We had to gradually get them used to going farther afield to find food because they stopped browsing. They’d just lie down in the bushes nearby and wait for our back door to open. Not good.

Lovely photos of the little fella, (or female fella, ah who cares if I get the sex wrong) they are wonderfully marked, the reddish colour and the spots… I want one…
August 8, 2012 at 12:02 pm
Oh NO!! A squirrel for nia and now a fawn for you!! I’m going to have to charter a plane for deliveries!
August 8, 2012 at 1:21 pm
“Squirrel for Nia, and a Fawn for you” sounds like a song title.. or maybe a film title… now the brains working.. Furry squirrel and a fawn.. Disney Film studios here we come.. or have they made that movie already..??

I think that movie idea is still available…get writing!!
