THE NINJA SQUIRREL…

Ninja feet.

Alright…now I’m just offended….

I thought feeding the squirrels was a harmless pastime…after all…they’re so sweet,

so cuddly looking, so timid.

WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading a book today, and heard a HUGE thud against the door right in front of me.

I couldn’t imagine what had hit the door that hard…enter….NINJA SQUIRREL.

This crazy squirrel had hurled himself, yes, I said “HURLED” himself against the door and

was standing looking in at me!!!!

Long story short….he was out of peanuts and he wanted an explanation. I would have given him one,

but I was too busy hiding behind a chair. Did you get a look at those feet????

No way was I going to politely open the door and explain that I regretfully had not been aware

of the peanut shortage….I could see in his eyes that all he wanted to do was get a fistful of my

hair and do a little ninja style justice on my face.

I’m sleeping with one eye open tonight..we actually had a squirrel come down the chimney once,

looking for food….I’m taking no chances…I’m leaving a jar of peanut butter beside the bed.

I don’t know why…but it’s going to be there just in case.

  3. Oh my goodness, Suzanne. Those squirrels are so naughty. Maybe you should show them what happens to naughty hamsters, just to give them a fright. ;) http://adinparadise.wordpress.com/2012/05/30/travel-theme-street-markets/#comments

  4. Well, the more food that you give them, the bigger and heavier they are going to be. They’ll breed better too, so beware of ninja baby invasions – along with attentive and protective parents, of course! Have you made your will?

    June 6, 2012 at 5:59 pm

  7. Personally I would quickly open the window, chuck the peanut butter out like it’s some kind of hand grenade and then immediately slam the window shut again. I wouldn’t be enticing him close to my bed while I sleep, he looks dangerous!

    June 6, 2012 at 5:21 pm

    • I like the hand grenade idea :) I’ve been told by several fellow bloggers that that might not have been the best idea :)

      June 6, 2012 at 6:36 pm

      • Unbelievable. Then again, it’s your eye is trained to note the details.

        June 6, 2012 at 3:51 pm

  11. Maybe put the peanut butter somewhere other than next to your bed?
    Just sayin…

    June 6, 2012 at 1:59 pm

    • Hmmmmmmm…you could be right……I should pile up a bunch of peanuts at the end of the driveway…far, far from the house….

That squirrel actually looks like he has Arnold Schwarzenegger muscles and is flexing them for the camera.

    June 6, 2012 at 11:47 am

    • You made me gasp and blurt out .. “I KNOW” !!!

This guy was SO muscular! I kept telling my husband, this guy is NOT normal! His feet were huge too!

      June 6, 2012 at 1:36 pm

  15. Hope you left the lid of that jar slightly loose…..nothing worse than a frustrated squirrel who can’t figure out HOW to open a jar of peanut butter!

    June 6, 2012 at 8:34 am

    • It IS hard to get anything done…and I’m being VERY serious here….

      June 6, 2012 at 11:19 am

  20. In Scotland the red sqirrel is under threat from the greys. The red squirrel is the native squirrel of Scotland but the greys were imported by the Victorians and spread a disease called squirrel pox which kills the red squirrels.

  21. Hi,
I’m with you, those claws look really sharp, I wouldn’t like them anywhere near me. I have seen what animal claws can do and it is not pretty. Definitely keep the jar of peanut paste very handy. :D
