Thank you for stopping by MY blog, LOL! I tend to veer between crazy, silly fun, to serious photography, which is what I do in my real life. Hopefully you’ll enjoy both!

Sounds good to me all of the above!

Whew!

I know so many people around here who try to get rid of deer around their property. I am so happy to know that at least one kind and lovely soul welcomes the critters of the earth with whom we share THEIR land.

Ohhhh,:) Thank you Lorna! It’s always in the back of my mind that the deer have wandered these woods for a LONG time. Possibly a hundred years?, at least? In my book on “Mama”, I have a full page spread right at the end…it’s a photo of the woods, with the deer trail…”the paths of home”.
THEIR home
(And for as long as I am blessed to be here, my home.)

When I say things like that to most people around here, they look at me like I’m nuts. That’s okay, I have my own opinion about them… (not very Buddhist of me, but I’m human)!

To steal and change a line from Jennifer Aniston regarding Brad Pitt….they have a sensitivity chip missing.
You can say things like that to me, anytime:)

I like that line. Might use it… Thanks!

Doing a happy dance on this end

I could send you a few dozen deer. I think they’re a lot tamer than yours because of living in people’s backyards waiting for the geraniums to be put out.
May 2, 2012 at 6:32 pm
LOL! I think you’re right! They sound a LOT more tame than ours!
May 2, 2012 at 7:50 pm
You happy girl, I am happy for you! love your actionshot!
May 2, 2012 at 5:37 pm
Heehee, Thank you

May 2, 2012 at 5:24 pm
I thought it was a nice action shot, something I try to capture when in the game reserves.
May 2, 2012 at 4:29 pm
I am happy with you, Suzanne, I know exactly what you mean.
May 2, 2012 at 4:20 pm
It’s such a happy feeling!
If you know exactly what I mean..then YOU also know the joy!
May 2, 2012 at 4:27 pm
Like, like, like!!! We have lots of deer around here, but I never get a chance to see them that close up.
May 2, 2012 at 4:03 pm
I like, like, like them!! More like, love, love, love them! LOL! That’s why I had to write my book about “Mama”. It was just so unusual to have a three-legged one coming by sometimes two and three times a day. And the added bonus was that she trusted me enough to get close. Miss her!!!
May 2, 2012 at 4:36 pm
And so green!
May 2, 2012 at 3:58 pm
Really green right now!

Always great photos! I can’t say seeing deer brings me much joy. Just saw some this am on our suburban street, strolling as if they were out for a casual meander. And I hit one once- no major damage– but they can be killers on the road. Then there’s the lyme disease issue, and then they eat all the plants…

I know what you mean! I LOVE to see them,,but when anyone leaves the house to drive away, I ALWAYS say,”watch out for the deer”. They really are dangerous..and if I’m outside, you can believe I get a shower when I come in and toss those clothes in the wash!
