BLUEBIRDS AND MAGIC HORSES
Today was one of those absolutely amazingly beautiful spring days……….WARM!!!
What better to do than to go visit the horses! Stopped in to speak with their
owner for a moment and then began my hike back through the fields to the ten
acre wood. They love to go back there for the fresh grass and they stay back there
pretty much all day. I had a nice long trek, during which I was side-tracked by
the discovery of a big piece of quartz that I tried to wedge into my pocket.
Once I passed through the gate, there were the boys! I’m going to drive you crazy
with another video..but at the start you can see that I was immediately spotted.
What a wonderful two hours I spent with them..At the end of that two hours
I was starting to consider eating my arm, so I decided to head back to the barn.
I didn’t get very far…I had noticed a small bird keeping an eye on me, while I
sat on the tire of an old piece of farm equipment watching the horses.
BLUEBIRDS!!!! I spent another forty-five minutes watching these beautiful little
birds…I have to go back, there were more than I have ever seen before, together in one
place. You know the old saying, “the bluebird of happiness”…they certainly were
the perfect ending to a cherished day.

With sights like these, who could be unhappy! I love them all. Bob grazing, his beautiful eye, the little bird on the wire, the reflection in the pond. Ah, how they feed the soul. You are so lucky to have this place.

This property is ten minutes from my home……………………I live in fear of the day, that the opportunity to see my friend and his “friends” comes to an end….The deer, squirrels,etc., are all on my property…But I wish Bob and Joe, one of the other horses, were mine.

I can understand your feelings. I don’t like them if they’re way too long…For my horse lover followers I may do one more…But I’m most excited about some trees that I photographed today..so I can’t wait to see what I captured!

Now you are amazing….Not many people catch on to that..I have, I believe, not lost the ability to get a great kick out of the most basic simple things…maybe that means I’m just “simple’ minded. I just realize more and more that I’m in touch with the basics of who I am, and I really like that.

Bluebirds are magical. Occasionally I’ll spot one darting about our neighborhood, but they are so quick. I’m always left with this sense that I got a glimpse of something other-worldly, like a garden fairy or unicorn. Did I really see it or was that my imagination? Whichever, it makes me smile and think “bluebird of happiness” – what an appropriate description! Thank you for sharing.

Oh wow! Stunning photo’s once again Zanny! I so absolutely love them! You are blessed indeed to be surrounded with so much beauty and I loooooved the video of the horses. They are so beautiful! I can sit and watch them for hours.

I’m blushing..but seriously, I appreciate the compliments…I love doing it, and it sparks creativity in other directions. I can’t wait to publish my book on “Bob” the horse, although some of the other horses are in it too. While I was watching the horses yesterday,. out in the back acres along a road, a woman stopped in her car. Apparently she watches the horses with her granddaughter whenever the horses are close enough to the road..I think I have my first book sold and it’s not even printed yet..LOL!! This happened the last time!

Well first of all,,Thank you so much, I’m glad that my feelings could be transported to you…wonderful, wonderful feeling. Now as far as the quartz goes,,now that it’s been washed and dried..it’s not much to look at, but it’s kind of the same color as Bob. But, I now have a little piece of the hallowed ground where Bob “doth tread”. If you really want to see it, I’ll post it..but it looks just like a rock! LOL, LOL, LOL! Perhaps I could start taking orders and sell other rocks that I find in the field!

I like rocks! But I leave it up to you as to whether you want to post them or not. I agree that rocks change their personality from time to time. I keep a bunch on my windowsill and they remind me of a day or a week in my life. At other times I don’t even notice them. DAMN ROCKS! They should just stay rocks and leave me out of it.
